Of existence, I am as much a part
As you; Together we keep things going.
Yet subjugated, shackled is my heart
By your ego, pride- chains that keep burning.
My clear thinking, opinions voiced,
My many roles as your friend, mate, mother;
You’ve undermined all; As a devil poised
In your masculine hunger for power.
You’re provoked by my lips and my bust;
You’re enraged by my success and fame.
So, you pacify your anger, your lust;
And when you’re done, the victim’s to blame.
Being raped, beaten or humiliated,
Is like having my womb violated!
